We invite you to participate in a unique festival, “Tsakhkazard,” for children on April 2, 2023.

Join us in celebrating one of the most beloved holidays, Tsakhkazard, declared a blessing day for children by the Catholicos of All Armenians.

Background

Being Armenians who live outside Armenia, we realized a strong desire among Diaspora Armenians to stay connected with their roots and homeland. One of the most effective ways to keep Armenian identity alive is by instilling pride and love for Armenian culture and history in our children. We can reach that goal by, first and foremost, introducing the children to their rich cultural heritage in a way that is joyful and interesting to them.

We have decided to contribute to the vital cause of keeping the Armenian Spirit strong and invite you to do so with us through this festival. Here is why:

• Culturally, a festival offers a unique snapshot of our community’s identity, providing an opportunity to revitalize and preserve cultural practices.
• Socially, a festival strengthens the community by promoting deeper understanding through shared experiences.
• Economically, a festival can generate sizeable, long-term financial benefits and significant business opportunities. Tsakhkazard Kids Festival will be the first of its kind for Armenian children living in Southern California and beyond. Our Mission

• To empower and support Armenian artisans and small businesses both in Armenia and in the USA.
• A percentage of the proceeds will be donated to charitable organizations supporting children’s and educational programs in Armenia.
