The Tree of Life played a significant role in Armenian traditions, symbolizing eternal life and purity. Images of the Tree of Life and a goat were the main images on the ancient Armenian highlands’ petroglyphs (rock carvings).
These petroglyphs are considered the earliest expressions of art and communication in Armenian history. Interestingly, in pre-Christian times, the image of a goat often represented abstract concepts of God and light.
Many believe the human, Tree of Life, and goat images represented the Holy Trinity in Armenian culture.
At Oolik, we draw inspiration from this rich imagery to create our signature Oolik T-shirts.
